High Season for Drone Flying
In June, 3,370 drone flights were reported in Ninox Drone, Avinor’s system for managing drones.
– So far this year, we have seen an increase of nearly 30 percent in the number of reported drone plans compared to the same period last year. This shows a positive trend among drone operators and that more are seeing the benefits of using Ninox Drone as a tool for safe and secure drone flying. Summer is the high season for drone flying in Norway, with both good weather and a lot of tourism. We encourage everyone flying drones to use Ninox Drone and to familiarize themselves thoroughly with the regulations and no-fly zones around airports, says Mats Gjertsen, head of Avinor’s drone program.
