Havila Voyages has launched a collaboration with the award-winning B-Corp certified company Ocean Bottle. Guests traveling aboard the environmentally friendly coastal cruise ships can now purchase a specially designed, Havila-branded Ocean Bottle in the onboard shop. The bottle's design celebrates the historic coastal route, featuring a detailed map of the Norwegian coastline that displays key landmarks and all 34 ports of call from Bergen to Kirkenes.

Fosnavåg, 6 August 2026 – The German environmental organization NABU has placed Havila Voyages at the top of its cruise ranking for 2026, based on the company's efforts to implement holistic sustainable solutions and reduce carbon and pollutant emissions along the Norwegian coast. As was the case last year, the ships operated by the family-run company are setting the benchmark for the cruise industry.

Faced with extreme summer heat in Southern Europe and global geopolitical uncertainties, sustainable travel concepts like "Coolcation" and "Silent Travelling" are experiencing an unprecedented boom.

The Norwegian coastal cruise company Havila Voyages is expanding its range of services. A new webpage featuring a weather forecast and a packing list is designed to help guests prepare for a trip along the Norwegian coast. After entering their individual travel details, guests can immediately see what the weather will be like at each of the 34 ports along the coastal route – precisely on the day they are due to be there.

Havila Voyages has appointed the agency Aviareps as General Sales Manager (GSA) for China with immediate effect. This strategic partnership is intended to strengthen the company’s position and visibility in this growing market.

Havila Voyages published its integrated annual and sustainability report for 2025 on Thursday evening. The year was marked by increased revenue, strong demand, improved profitability, and significant environmental progress.

Havila Voyages has joined the European LOWNOISER project as an associated partner, strengthening its commitment to environmentally responsible maritime operations. The project aims to reduce underwater noise and protect marine life.

From 2024 to 2025, Havila Voyages achieved growth of as much as 14 percent in local passengers and 11 percent in cargo volumes. Work is now underway to further improve the route, including longer port calls at several ports.

Havila Voyages is introducing Lofoten Coastal Stopover, a new cruise concept that combines sailing along the Norwegian coast with a multi-day stay in Svolvær. The concept is in collaboration with Thon Hotel Svolvær.

On Thursday evening, Havila Voyages published its quarterly results for Q4 2025, and with that the preliminary full-year results are also ready. They show a positive operating result before depreciation of NOK 373 million.

On Sunday, the Havila Polaris set sail from Bergen on its first climate-neutral voyage along the coastal route. On board were international guests, media representatives and people who live and work on the coast.

Havila Voyages continued its strong development in the third quarter of 2025, with solid operational performance and a significant improvement in results. Operating results ended at a positive NOK 283 million.

Today, the coastal cruise ship Havila Polaris has filled its tanks with 200 cubic meters of liquefied biogas supplied by Barents Naturgass at Polarbase in Hammerfest, Norway. This marks the start of a historic voyage for Havila Voyages, where CO2 emissions are reduced by more than 90% and demonstrate that greener shipping is possible – already today.

Havila Kystruten AS (Havila Voyages) has entered into a comprehensive agreement to refinance the company’s outstanding debt totaling EUR 456 million. The agreement provides 15-year financing that ensures predictability and room for maneuvering for the continued operation and development of the coastal route between Bergen and Kirkenes.

At the end of November, Havila Voyages will fill the tanks of Havila Polaris with pure liquefied biogas for a historic voyage along the Norwegian coast. This sailing will prove that climate neutrality in the next tender on the coastal route is possible, and that using biogas in the future will both cut greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to more jobs along the coast.

On Thursday morning, Havila Voyages (Havila Kystruten AS) reported its results for the second quarter of 2025. The company delivered yet another quarter with a positive operating profit, and CO2 emissions were reduced by 38%.

HAV Group and Havila Voyages have entered into a partnership to ensure a coastal route fleet that will be at least climate neutral – with the ambition of achieving zero emissions. Together, the current four ships, along with future newbuilds, will meet the requirements of the next tender period. The plans were presented to politicians, journalists, and decision-makers during Arendalsuka on Thursday morning.
