To build new homes in fast growing Swedish city

Munktellstaden is centrally located by the Eskilstuna River and is characterised by beautiful historical industrial environments. Today there are arenas for sports, the performing arts, experiences and knowledge. The district is now being completed with a total of 400 new homes.
HMB’s assignment is to build 65 homes with underlying car parking, right next to Eskilstuna’s arena for sports, concerts and exhibitions. The homes are planned to be ready for occupancy in autumn 2021. This is a design and construct contract.
Eskilstuna Kommunfastigheter and HMB have collaborated on a number of earlier housing projects and together the companies have also built and renovated older homes and schools.
“Eskilstuna is one of the fastest growing municipalities in the country. We are proud to have once again been trusted with contributing to creating attractive and vibrant environments in the town,” says Bård Frydenlund, EVP Sweden at AF Gruppen.
HMB Construction is building in Stockholm, Mälardalen, Dalarna, Västmanland, Uppland and Gästrikland, and currently has 1,500 apartments in production. In 2018, the company recorded sales of SEK 1.3 billion.
