Northern Trust etablerer avdeling i Oslo, Norge

Northern Trust (Nasdaq: NTRS) understreker sin forpliktelse til å møte kundenes stadig utviklende krav ved å kunngjøre at de vil åpne nok et avdelingskontor i Norden.

Oslo-kontoret vil etableres som en avdeling under Northern Trust Global Services SE, en EU-kredittinstitusjon og et heleid datterselskap av The Northern Trust Company, og vil tilby depotmottakertjenester til norske kapitalforvaltere og kapitaleiere. Kontoret skal drives av Robert Stenmark og etableres etter gjenutnevnelse av Kommunal Landspensjonskasse (KLP), Norges største livsforsikringsselskap.

Gjenutnevnelsen bygger på en 10 år gammel relasjon og støtter livsforsikringsselskapets videre utvikling på tvers av fondsprodukter og strategier. I henhold til vilkårene i det fornyede mandatet med KLP, vil Northern Trust tilby en rekke verdipapirtjenester, inkludert en utvidelse av det eksisterende mandatet til å inkludere depotmottakertjenester for KLPs fond som er hjemmehørende i Norge.

Robert Stenmark er utpekt som leder for det norske kontoret. Stenmark kommer fra Handelsbanken, hvor han var leder for Securities Services i Norge. Han har bred erfaring fra finansbransjen, og har tidligere jobbet i SpareBank 1 Livsforsikring og Experian. Robert skal jobbe tett med Bo Thulin, leder for Northern Trust i Norden.
