New wind power project awarded

The planned Karskruv wind farm will be situated in Åseda in the eastern part of Kronoberg county. The project comprises 20 wind turbines that will produce renewable energy corresponding to the average annual consumption of 60,000 households.
Kanonaden will be responsible for the construction of roads and foundations, as well as the installation of the internal electricity network for the wind farm. The power plant is scheduled to be put into operation during the spring of 2023.
In recent years, Kanonaden has gained extensive experience from wind power construction projects and will now be carrying out its third project on behalf of OX2.
“It feels particularly good that, together, we are contributing to increasing the supply of renewable electricity in southern Sweden, where there is currently a shortage of electricity, while also working towards Sweden’s national ambition of 100% renewable electricity production by the year 2040,” says Bård Frydenlund, EVP, AF Gruppen Sweden.
OX2 develops, constructs and manages facilities for the production of renewable power. The company has operations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Lithuania and France.
