Building environmentally friendly apartments near Stockholm

HMB Construction will build four high-rise buildings s in the first of two phases in Tallbohov Elctric Village for Fastighets AB Tornet. The housing project is included in a research project to develop sustainable and innovative residential buildings, a project which is supported by Boverket, the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning..
The apartments will nearly be energy self-sufficient. The heating system will be controlled by artificial intelligence, which chooses the energy source that currently has the lowest carbon emissions – solar energy, geothermal energy, district heating or traditional electricity.
“What we build should be of great value for people, society and the environment. We are happy to be involved in a project that can realize some of the future’s energy and heating solutions”, says Bård Frydenlund, EVP Sweden at AF Gruppen.
The ground works will commence during the spring and the apartments are expected to be handed over by the summer of 2023.
HMB Construction is one of seven subsidiaries of AF Gruppen Sverige. HMB has operations in Stockholm, Mälardalen, Dalarna, Västmanland, Uppland and Gästrikland. In 2019, the company recorded sales of SEK 1.4 billion.
