The product is “KASA no SAYA” (umbrella sheath).
It will be launched worldwide via Kickstarter.

“KASA no SAYA” allows you to carry umbrellas around safely and conveniently. It earned its name from the fact that the motion of inserting an umbrella into the product resembles that of a samurai sheathing his sword. The product has been successfully crowdfunded twice in Japan, achieving 507% of the target the first time (https://www.makuake.com/project/saya) and 358% the second time (https://www.makuake.com/project/saya02).

The product combines the allure of acetate resins and natural bamboo with a new, enticing design. The luster and patterns attributable to traditional Japanese crafts are artistic and aesthetically pleasing, in and of themselves. As such, the product can be used daily as an accessory for your favorite bag or briefcase. We highly recommend the product, even to those who do not use umbrellas.

On Kickstarter: June 6 - July 31, 2022
