AF Gruppen expands its Board and adds new expertise

“Today’s re-election of five shareholder-elected board members, combined with Kjetel Digre og Kristina Alvendal joining the board, ensures a good balance between continuity and new inspiration. We are very pleased that the board has been expanded and are gaining greater expertise within the areas of public affairs, offshore projects and real estate development in Sweden. Overall, we are now even better equipped to secure profitable growth in our segments,” says Pål Egil Rønn, Chairman of the Board of AF Gruppen.
The board now comprises Pål Egil Rønn (Chairman), Borghild Lunde, Arne Baumann, Hege Bømark, Kristian Holth, Kristina Alvendal, Kjetel Digre, Kenneth Svendsen, Arne Sveen, and Hilde Wikesland Flaen (the latter three of whom are employee-elected representatives).
With Kjetel Digre to AF Gruppen's Board, the company gains one of Norway's most competent project experts. Today, he is SVP Operations at Aker BP. He has a long career in Equinor with management experience from major offshore projects, including Johan Sverdrup and Gjøa. He holds an MSc Subsea Engineering with Distinction from Herriot-Watt.
Kristina Alvendal will add important competence from large property development projects in Sweden and knowledge within public affairs after being a central politician of many years with responsibility for large city development projects. Currently, she is the CEO and owner of property development companies and has background as CEO of Airport City Stockholm AB and Deputy mayor in Stockholm responsible for city and property development. Alvendal is a lawyer and specialized in English law.
