After an emphatic victory over hosts Bangladesh in the tournament’s opening match on Wednesday, India is set to face its archrival Pakistan on Saturday, 27th February.
The two sides have not played since their World Cup duel in 2015 as the proposed bilateral series in December did not materialize.
Going by India's T20 form in Australia and against Sri Lanka at home recently, lots of expectations are already set from men in blue.
In its first match on Wednesday, India lost 3 wickets quickly but Rohit Sharma kept firing boundaries and helped team to set a score of 166 runs with loss of 6 wickets. India’s bowling attack might not have been appreciated in the past but on Wednesday, Indian bowlers finished the job with something to spare. Ashish Nehra took three wickets, fellow fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took another, while spinner Ravichandran Ashwin helped stifle Bangladesh. As per Twenty20 international records, India has won five of the six contests with Pakistan. It will be interesting to see on Saturday if men in green are able to record their second win over India or the men in blue will hit the sixth one.
