Soliton Systems Introduces the World's First H.265/HEVC Mobile Hardware Encoder "Smart-telecaster Zao" and Launch Expansions of Europe Sales Programs at IBC2015
Soliton Systems K.K. (JASDAQ Securities Exchange, 3040), a leading innovator of mobile video solutions and products, announced today that it will unveil its newest Smart-telecaster Zao at The International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam, September 11-15, 2015 (Booth 2.A42). The company will also feature its complete product line at the IBC as part of its greater commitment to sell into the Europe.
Soliton’s flagship Smart-telecaster Zao (www.smart-telecaster.com) now provides over 2,000 customers in broadcasting, law enforcement, emergency health care and other vertical markets with the capability to produce crisp on-location live video reports during crisis and mission-critical events. The smart-telecaster Zao are optimized for mobile networks and images can be transmitted using 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and Inmarsat BGAN.
Smart-telecaster Zao truly shines is the inclusion of the H.265/HEVC video compression standard. H.265 enables Smart-telecaster Zao to dramatically reduce power consumption, shrink the chassis footprint and maintain higher on-the-spot usability, thereby raising the bar for state-of-the-art transmission.
Soliton’s proprietary RASCOW™ (Real-time Auto Speed Control based-on Waterway model) transmission control technology dynamically adjusts video compression ratios and frame rates to ensure smooth, low-latency video/audio transmission, even in the most challenging locations where cellular bandwidth is limited.
