The Coca-Cola Foundation Awards $26.2 Million in First Half of the Year to Benefit More Than 90 Million People Worldwide

The Coca-Cola Foundation awarded $26.2 million USD to 74 community organizations during the first half of 2015. These grants will benefit more than 90 million people across 76 countries, and are focused on The Coca-Cola Company’s core sustainability priorities - women, water and well-being.

“As a global company operating in more than 200 countries, Coca-Cola is part of a large and diverse community and we are proud to support the well-being of the communities where we live and work,” said Lisa M. Borders, Chair, The Coca-Cola Foundation and Vice President, Global Community Affairs. “By working with local organizations, we are helping to find solutions to the global challenges we collectively face.”

During the first half of 2015, the Foundation awarded $2.3 million to support women’s empowerment initiatives, $9.3 million to support water and environmental initiatives, $12.2 million to support well-being initiatives including active healthy living, education, youth development and HIV/AIDS, and $2.3 million to support of other community improvement programs, including $1 million in disaster relief efforts.
