Lyhty ry: Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät (PKN) lights up the smartphones!
Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät (Pertti Kurikka’s Name Day) is a phenomenon spreading like wildfire all over Europe, and lighting up even the smartphones. The fans can now have a supporting flame burning on their phones: the PKN application is available for free download for Windows, Android and iOS phones.
The PKN application features a flame that can be ignited on the phone display, information about the band, and the English lyrics by Kari Aalto for the Aina mun pitää song, as well as instructions on how to vote at the Eurovision Song Contest. The smartphone application is in English, since Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät has quickly become a worldwide phenomenon. The band members are already familiar with the application.

The organisations behind the PKN support application are the non-profit organisation Lyhty ry, whose Culture Workshop Valo for persons with learning disabilities was the birthplace of Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät, and the media and culture programmes aimed at people with learning disabilities and other special needs for support: Radio Valo (Lyhty ry), Mieletöntä valoa and Kulttuuripaja (Sosped foundation).
