27.1.2026 13:23:50 CET | The Avinor Group | Press release
Suparna Airlines is now operating direct flights from Oslo Airport to Shanghai (PVG). This new route increases the capacity for fresh Norwegian seafood exports, thereby enhancing Norway's competitiveness as a seafood nation.

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Suparna Airlines officially launched its new route at Oslo Airport (OSL). The route is operated with dedicated cargo aircraft, offering weekly cargo flights between Oslo and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG).
This is the only direct route from OSL to this destination.
The cargo route is great news for Norwegian exports, as it will provide increased capacity for the export of fresh Norwegian seafood to the Chinese market.
– China is an important and growing market for Norwegian seafood. With this route, we can offer an efficient and reliable transport solution that meets the requirements for quality and delivery time, says Eva Beate Lande, Head of Cargo at Avinor.
Strengthening Norway as a Seafood Nation
The direct cargo connection to Shanghai is one of several new cargo routes to Asia in recent times. It contributes to faster and more predictable transport of time-sensitive goods, such as fresh salmon and other seafood – strengthening Norway's competitiveness as a seafood nation.
The flights are operated with dedicated cargo aircraft.
Oslo Airport is a key hub for Norwegian seafood exports, with short distances from production sites to the airport and excellent infrastructure for cooling and handling services.
