Norwegian Police Security Service dismisses case against companies in KONGSBERG
10.12.2025 15:18:00 CET | KONGSBERG | Press release
The Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) has completed its investigation of Kongsberg Discovery and Kongsberg Maritime. The case has been dismissed, as no criminal offence has been proven. This means that the evidence does not indicate that a criminal offence has taken place.

The case concerned claims that Kongsberg Discovery, Kongsberg Maritime and other Western companies had supplied technology that may have gone astray and possibly contributed to strengthening the Russian military. PST was tasked with investigating whether export regulations had been violated, but after a short investigation, the case has now been dismissed on the grounds that no criminal offence was found.
Kongsberg Discovery and Kongsberg Maritime are pleased with the result and the unusually quick conclusion. The outcome aligns with the companies’ original position and the internal investigations carried out in connection with the case. PST’s decision confirms that deliveries from the companies were in line with applicable regulations.
