Aparta, which provides infrastructure for residential real estate, is now strengthening its team with Lars Hansen as Chief Investment Officer with main responsibility for the Danish market. He comes from the position as Fund Manager at NREP, one of the Nordic region's leading real estate investors with operations in residential, logistics and commercial real estate.

— Lars is an outstanding addition to our strong team. With nearly 20 years of experience from real estate investment and fund management in the Nordics, he brings the expertise that will be instrumental as we further scale our service offering, says Eilin Schjetne, Founder and CEO of Aparta Group.

For the last four years, Lars has been a Fund Manager at NREP with responsibility for a property portfolio of approximately 1,000,000 sqm in office, retail and residential. He will now be part of a strong team together with, among others, Mia Friis Meyer, who joined Aparta from Danske Bank earlier this autumn.

— I look forward to developing Aparta further. After many years in the Nordic real estate market, I can clearly see that Aparta's model meets an unmet need and demand. We create opportunities and flexibility for both the owners, developers and investors. That is something the market really needs, says Lars Hansen, CIO of Aparta Denmark.

Offers a new infrastructure for residential real estate

Aparta offers a new co-ownership infrastructure for residential real estate in Europe, with the company becoming a professional co-owner together with the homeowner. This gives first-time buyers, new home buyers and existing homeowners the opportunity to share ownership and adapt their real estate investment to their life situation.

Aparta's model serves as a third leg of the housing investment – alongside equity and loans. In this way, homeowners will have greater freedom in how they own, while investors get the opportunity to take part in the value creation in the residential real estate market.

Aparta’s infrastructure has aroused great interest among developers who want to offer their customers new housing projects through this new ownership format.

— With Lars on board, we are even better positioned to meet the growing demand in the Nordic region. Real estate developers are increasingly interested in offering a flexible solution tailored to different buyer groups and market conditions. Our platform helps provide security for buyers while giving developers greater flexibility in their sales processes, says Schjetne.

Notices an increased need for flexible housing solutions: Lars Hansen has been close to investors, developers and residential owners in the Nordic market for 20 years. Now he brings his experience and expertise to Aparta.

Notices great interest and increased sales in Iceland

Aparta has already proven the effectiveness of the model through its launch in Iceland. In June, the company entered a partnership with the country's largest asset manager, and in September, Aparta’s co-ownership infrastructure for residential real estate was adopted together with a property developer in a significant housing project. The result was a multiplication of sales.

  • Homebuyers value the opportunity to relieve part of their financial obligations. At the same time, we see that property developers achieve a much higher sales rate when they can offer a flexible co-ownership model. This makes us a catalyst for increased sales, says Schjetne.

Aparta was established in Norway in 2023 and already has operations in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Iceland. The company is now in dialogue with several major developers throughout the Nordic region who want to offer the same solution in their projects.
