Rehabilitating five residential buildings in Bergen
Åsane Byggmesterforretning AS, a company within AF Gruppen, has entered into an agreement with Munsterbekken Borettslag in Bergen for the rehabilitation of five residential buildings. The contract is a turnkey project valued at NOK 183 million excluding VAT.
Munsterbekken Borettslag, which was built in the early 1980s, consists of five detached residential buildings with a total of 274 apartments and common areas in Gyldenpris, Bergen.
The project includes complete facade rehabilitation, which involves additional insulation and new roofing, additional insulation of exterior walls, as well as new windows, balcony doors, and facade cladding. Additionally, all apartments will receive new heating systems (air/water) and balanced ventilation.
“We are very grateful to be chosen as the turnkey contractor for an exciting project in Gyldenpris for Munsterbekken Borettslag. This helps to further develop our expertise in the rehabilitation of larger housing cooperatives. Preserving and rehabilitating buildings, rather than demolishing and building new ones, makes a significant contribution to reducing emissions in our industry,” says Frank Ståløy, Managing Director of Åsane Byggmesterforretning AS.
The work is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2024 and be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
