New wind power assignment in Sweden
Kanonaden Entreprenad, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has been commissioned to build a wind farm in the municipality of Tidaholm. The client is Vattenfall and the contract is worth SEK 122 million, excluding VAT.

The Velinga wind power project comprises 12 wind turbines with a total height of 180 meters and is expected to provide renewable energy equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 29,600 large households. The wind farm will be built in the municipality of Tidaholm, north of Jönköping in Västra Götaland County.
Kanonaden's assignment will be carried out as a turn key contract, and includes the design and construction of roads, crane sites, foundations and the wind farm's internal electricity and optical grid.
Work will begin in early 2024 and the wind farm is expected to be completed in 2026.
"We are very pleased to have renewed confidence from Vattenfall, with whom we already have a very good partnership," says Bård Frydenlund, EVP of AF Gruppen. “It is confirmation of our strong partnership and shared commitment to operate the highest quality projects in the wind energy sector.”
In line with its strategy to focus on the energy and power sector, Kanonaden has built more than 500 foundations for wind turbines in southern and central Sweden in recent years. This focus has not only significantly increased its expertise, but also given the company the ability to identify and prevent potential risks in its projects.
