Feel the freedom in hot disco vibes - new single from Marte Eberson!
"Free" is out today - a song strongly inspired by the danceable rhythms of the 70s!

After the success of her previous single "Come Around", Marte Eberson continues her journey musically by combining the new and the old. Retro and modern in beautiful combination!
Today she´s releasing a new single, which deals with the feeling of being alone and free at the same time. A delicious summer song that sets an ultimatum: All or nothing? It can be easy to promise eternal love at the beginnning of a relationship, Marte says:
- I am a hopeless romantic who loves to take chances. I want to jump into it, feel the ups and downs - then let it burst or bear. "Take this ride, live or die". Either love survives or it doesn't. I can't sit on the fence and wait for life to happen, but the older I get, the harder it is to get away from commitments. It´s no longer just a game of chance and a romantic idea: our actions have greater consequences. It becomes scarier to detach/end a reletionship - even if you don't get along well. This song is about feeling free from those consequences. Just do exactly what you want - when you want to!

"I will open the door, never coming back, no more."
There is no doubt about Eberson's strong inspiration from funk and disco in her new song "Free". In the spring of 2021, Marte Eberson had just bought herself a new bicycle, which took her around on hiking trails around Oslo. Then she dreamed herself away listening to disco and funk from the 70s. The optimistic and catchy vibes are something she wanted to capture herself, in her music - and the new single is exactly that.
"Free" is a combo of the new and the old; disco queens the Jones Girls and Sister Sledge meet hopeless romantic Lana Del Ray. All you have to do is detach yourself from your obligations and join the dance!

Tapt musikk blir levende igjen – Olav Kiellands hardingfeleverk utgis for første gang11.4.2025 09:00:00 CEST | Pressemelding
