Acrobits is first out of the gate again, integrating the game-changing CallKit API for iOS10 users. After being the first one to allow 3G calls and developing their industry leading supporting for push notification for incoming events, Acrobits is now proud to announce to all its retail and corporate users that from September 20th they can reap the full benefits of the CallKit API from Apple.
Apple new CallKit API is a true game changer for the Mobile VoiP industry as it gives Mobile Voip users not only a calling experience similar to the native one, but also allows them to choose whichever service they would like to use for their outgoing calls. Retail Mobile VoiP users can now, using either the native contacts or native history, trigger a VoiP call using their favourite VoiP carrier instead of their native GSM carrier. It enables them to create their own “least call routing” mechanism/flow and reduce their telecom envelope significantly. For corporate or “Unified Communications” users, they will finally be able to answer their incoming calls without the need to unlock their screen which was the biggest barrier for mass deployment. CallKit will definitely boost the “Bring Your Own Device” trend for enterprise users.
