Klas Telecom Announces TRX as a Comprehensive Service Enablement Platform for Railway Systems
Klas Telecom announced today that the TRX Connected Transportation Platform is an open architecture, comprehensive service enablement platform built upon a modular design principle that creates unparalleled flexibility and lower cost of system ownership for railway operators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). TRX comprises a range of rail-certified onboard communications gateways/servers and Cisco-based switches, and runs on a powerful Klas-designed operating system and hypervisor software. Through extending the power of Cisco IOS network technology to the edge of the rail architecture, TRX turns rolling stock into rolling data centers and enables trusted, enterprise-grade security at the network edge.
