Samsung Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 edge and Galaxy Note7 Available with Expway LTE Broadcast Middleware
Expway announced today that the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge and Galaxy Note7 are available worldwide for selected mobile operators with Expway’s LTE Broadcast Middleware. The decision comes after a successful deployment of Samsung’s flagship devices including the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy Note5 with Expway Middleware in selected markets last year.
The market for LTE Broadcast solutions is heating-up. It has evolved from early venue-casting applications, where fans could watch a game or concert simultaneously while in the stadium.
Consumers are watching more live content and accessing virtual reality apps on their mobile devices than ever. Today LTE Broadcast is seen as a solution to enable large-scale audiences to not only view important live events in high quality from wherever they might be, but also as a powerful push-file solution for broadcasting massive amounts of data.
Operators see a lot of value in pre-loading devices with popular content or targeted mobile ads and enhancing the performance of their CDN. Also important is instantly updating a large number of mobile devices with a critical security patch, the newest OS version, or the latest video game upgrades.

It allows broadcasting to multiple users once, instead of delivering the same streams of content to each user individually. It increases network capacity and eliminates the need to diminish video quality in order to squeeze more data through the network.
