On 30 March 2022, Sampo announced a share buyback programme of up to a maximum of EUR 250 million in compliance with the Market Abuse Regulation (EU) 596/2014 (MAR) and the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052. The programme, which started on 31 March 2022, is based on the authorization granted by Sampo's Annual General Meeting on 19 May 2021.

After the disclosed transactions, the company owns in total 1,394,282 Sampo A shares representing 0.26 per cent of the total number of shares in Sampo plc.

Oslo, 24 April 2024: Scatec ASA, a leading renewable energy solutions provider, signed a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Statkraft Energia do Brasil Ltda in Brazil, for a 142 megawatt (MW) solar plant in Minas Gerais, in Brazil. The BRL-denominated PPA covers about 75% of the expected power produced, while the remainder is expected to be sold under short, medium, and long-term term contracts (PPAs). The project’s estimated equity return exceeds Scatec’s hurdle rate of 1.2x the project’s cost of equity.
