Bedriftsforsamlingen i Equinor ASA (OSE:EQNR, NYSE:EQNR) har i møte 7. juni 2022 valgt Michael D. Lewis som nytt medlem av Equinor ASAs styre og Anne Drinkwater som nestleder av Equinors styre.

Jon Erik Reinhardsen ble gjenvalgt som styreleder, i tillegg ble Anne Drinkwater, Bjørn Tore Godal, Rebekka Glasser Herlofsen, Jonathan Lewis, Finn Bjørn Ruyter og Tove Andersen gjenvalgt som aksjonærvalgte styremedlemmer til Equinor ASA.

Michael D. Lewis er konsernsjef i E.ON UK plc. I perioden fra 2015-2017 var han konsernsjef for E.ON Climate & Renewables GmbH, og mellom 2007-2015 var han Chief Operating Officer i samme selskap. I perioden 2004-2007 hadde Lewis rollen som Vice President Corporate Strategy i E.ON AG. Han har også jobbet som Equity Analyst, Strategy Analyst og Environmental Specialist og Environmental Scientist i forskjellige selskap. Lewis har bred internasjonal erfaring og betydelig styreerfaring.

Lewis er styreleder i Energy and Utilities Skills Partnership samt medlem av Natural Environment Research Council og av Imperial College Business School, Centre for Climate Finance and Investment.

Lewis er utdannet MA Environmental Law ved De Montfort University, MSc Pollution and Environmental Control ved University of Manchester og BEng Engineering Technology ved Leicester Polytechnic.

Valget av aksjonærvalgte medlemmer til styret er gjort med virkning fra 1. juli 2022 og gjelder frem til neste ordinære valg av styrets aksjonærvalgte medlemmer til styret i 2023.
