Avinor’s annual and CSR report for 2018 is published
Corporate social responsibility is an integral element in Avinor’s strategic planning and in the management of the Group. Avinor’s corporate social responsi¬bility efforts are based on the expectations set forth in Avinor’s Articles of Association and in the Norwegian Accounting Act. Avinor takes the OECD’s guidelines for responsible business as the basis for its corporate social responsibility efforts and signed up to the UN Global Compact in 2014.
Avinor reports on its corporate social responsibility in accordance with the principles of the Global Reporting Initiative (Standards/Core)
-Avinor is acutely aware of the need to balance the corporate social responsibility objective of offering a better route network with its influential role within the environmental and climate efforts of aviation, says Dag Falk-Petersen, CEO of Avinor, in his introduction to the report.

“Avinor's main challenge is reduced revenues due to changes in travel patterns after the pandemic. There are far fewer business travelers than before, and Norwegians' domestic travel activity has levelled off. Lower traffic volume, lack of adjustment of airport taxes, as well as reduced revenue per passenger, largely due to reduced duty-free quota, challenge the Avinor model”, says Abraham Foss, CEO of Avinor.
