Cyviz AS has delivered a flexible collaboration hub for Swiss International Air Lines Ltd., designed to support hybrid meetings, workshops, training, town halls, and events at scale. The project highlights how global enterprises are investing in more reliable, intuitive and versatile collaboration environments as hybrid work becomes embedded in day-to-day operations.

Hybrid collaboration at scale
The new collaboration hub at SWISS’ headquarters in Zurich-Kloten, Switzerland, shows how enterprise collaboration spaces are evolving from traditional meeting rooms into strategic workplace infrastructure. Delivered by Cyviz, the space supports a wide range of hybrid formats while making advanced room technology simple for everyday users.
The collaboration hub was developed to support hybrid interaction at scale, enabling everything from team meetings and workshops to training sessions, quarterlies, town halls, and internal events. Designed to switch seamlessly between separate and combined room configurations, the space reflects a growing enterprise need for environments that are versatile enough to support multiple use cases while remaining intuitive for everyday users.
Complexity made simple
For the customer, three priorities shaped the project from the outset: flexibility, simplicity and reliability. Users needed to walk into the room, press a button, and start a meeting without specialist support. At the same time, the system needed to handle technically advanced room configurations and perform consistently in a high-visibility environment where interruptions are not acceptable. According to the customer, one of the biggest achievements has been making a technically complex space feel as easy to use as a standard meeting room.
"This is a signature room for us, and it has to work," said Stefano Buonaiuto, Head of IT Operations at SWISS. "What stands out with Cyviz is the commitment, the responsiveness, and the ability to react quickly when something is important. The room is technically complex, but for users it feels simple. That gives us confidence in the solution."
The project also illustrates a broader shift in how organizations think about workplace technology. In large enterprises, high-visibility collaboration spaces are no longer designed only for scheduled meetings. They increasingly serve as multifunctional hubs for ideation, decision-making, training, communication, and culture-building across distributed teams, raising expectations for operational consistency, user adoption, and support responsiveness.
"For global enterprises, the most valuable collaboration spaces are the ones people trust enough to use every day," said John v. Laerhoven, Sales Director at Cyviz. "The challenge is not simply to add more technology, but to make complex environments easy to use, reliable to operate and flexible enough to support how people actually meet, train and make decisions. The SWISS collaboration hub is a strong example of that shift."

Technology and culture in one
The deployment aligns with Cyviz’ broader strategy of helping organizations create more predictable and resilient technology environments. With growing complexity across collaboration, AV, and connected workplace systems, businesses are looking for solutions that combine room-level usability with stronger visibility, standardization, and operational control across locations and use cases.
At SWISS, the collaboration hub was also designed to support a broader vision for the workplace. Positioned next to a social hospitality area, the space was created to encourage both formal and informal interaction, reflecting the idea that some of the most valuable collaborations happen before and after meetings, not only during them. By combining technology, flexibility, and spatial design, the environment supports both productivity and culture within a single integrated setting.
The SWISS collaboration hub demonstrates how hybrid work is entering a more mature phase. For enterprises, the next step is not simply more video-enabled rooms, but dependable spaces that make collaboration easier to run, easier to adapt, and more resilient when important meetings, workshops, and internal events depend on them.
