Kailas FUGA Opens Chamonix Store with FUGA EX PRO G Launch

80+ Kailas FUGA Team & FUGA Mountain Club athletes to compete at UTMB World Series Finals

CHAMONIX, France, Aug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leading global trail brand Kailas FUGA has brought its passion for the mountains to Europe with the debut of its first European FUGA Store in Chamonix and the launch of its FUGA EX PRO G. To mark the occasion, Kailas FUGA Team and FUGA Mountain Club have brought their largest-ever representation to attend UTMB®, TDS®, CCC®, OCC®, and ETC® with over 80 athletes competing. With a commitment to supporting the development of the European trail industry and a strategic focus on the Alps, Kailas FUGA will host a week of activities including trials FUGA EX PRO G, coaching sessions, talks by the elite Kailas FUGA Team, and insights into Kailas FUGA’s support for the growth of trail running. 

Located in the heart of the Alps, a world-renowned center for outdoor sports, the FUGA Basecamp in Chamonix is a milestone for Kailas FUGA, offering a community hub for trail runners.

The FUGA EX PRO G

Building on the FUGA EX PRO which has taken podiums by storm since it was launched in 2025, the FUGA EX PRO G is even lighter and engineered for advanced elite trail runners. It has a carbon plate racing structure with advanced cushioning while adding the benefit of an integrated sock-like structure that prevents gravel and debris from entering the shoe. Weighing just 269g with a 5mm drop and lug depth 4/6 mm makes it one of the lightest in the industry, the shoe is designed for use on mixed terrain in the range of 30-100k. 

FUGA Store

The FUGA store in Chamonix offers a full brand immersion not only creating a space that resonates with the spirit of trail running and nature but also introducing some of the key product technologies such as Grip Lab. It not only offers high-quality trail products but also provides a community hub for trail runners of all levels visiting the region. Kailas FUGA Team supports 60 professional trail athletes from over 19 countries and nearly half are from Europe. In 2026, over 30 athletes from Kailas FUGA Team will compete in UTMB®, TDS®, CCC®, OCC®, and ETC® races.

FUGA Mountain Club, a fast-growing community of runners competing at a high level and the largest sponsored trail running club in the world, was launched in China in 2017 and has over 115 athletes in Europe. This year 50 athletes from FUGA Mountain Club will compete in UTMB®, TDS®, CCC®, OCC®, and ETC® races.
