Kongsberg Digital rebrands as Falkor, a KONGSBERG company
1.6.2026 12:05:41 CEST | KONGSBERG | Press release
Kongsberg Digital, a global leader in industrial software, today announced it is rebranding to operate under the new name Falkor. This change reflects the company's sharpened focus on industrial intelligence, while reinforcing its core commitment to improving the industrial work experience for teams worldwide.

The rebrand comes as the industries that Falkor serves – energy, processing industries, power and renewables – are at a pivotal moment, with artificial intelligence fundamentally changing how people and organizations work.
At the core of Falkor's platform is a knowledge graph that connects and contextualizes asset, system, and operational data. Combined with high-fidelity simulation and a powerful native agentic framework, it delivers real-time, physics-grounded industrial intelligence.
For frontline teams, this means access to Falkor’s work surface with AI-enhanced personal workflows, agentic decision support, and customizable templates – designed for the realities of day-to-day industrial work.
"The future of industry is not technology replacing people. It is human capability expanded by industrial intelligence," said Shane McArdle, CEO. "Our evolution into Falkor is more than a change of name; it is the unwavering focus on making the daily work experience safer, smarter, and more efficient for the people who will power the next era of these industries.”
Falkor remains a majority-owned subsidiary of Kongsberg Gruppen ASA, with more than 200 years of industrial heritage behind it. The Kongsberg Digital name will be retired as part of the transition.
"Falkor represents the forward-leaning industrial innovation we support at KONGSBERG. Industrial intelligence is a critical and scalable capability for industries to optimise operations, and Falkor is exceptionally well positioned to lead it. We remain committed to its growth – and to the customers and industries it serves," says Eirik Lie, President and CEO, Kongsberg Gruppen ASA.
