Following the demerger and separate listing of Kongsberg Maritime, Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (‘KONGSBERG’) is now dedicated to developing the technology and solutions required to protect people and critical infrastructure – from deep sea to space.

“The decision to separate the two companies was taken with an eye on future market opportunities. To create more value in a rapidly changing world, where security and sustainability are expected to dominate in the coming decades,” said Eivind Reiten, Chair of the Board of KONGSBERG Gruppen ASA.

“KONGSBERG will be better positioned to navigate and grasp opportunities in its markets with a Board of Directors and executive leadership that are solely focused on defence, security and related matters,” said Reiten.

“I am proud to lead KONGSBERG into the future, together with more than 7,500 highly skilled and motivated colleagues. Our mission – to protect people and planet – has never been more appropriate and right. This is why we exist – and why I believe we are positioned to continue to grow,” said Eirik Lie, President and Chief Executive Officer of KONGSBERG. Lie succeeds Geir Håøy, who led KONGSBERG as President and CEO from 2016 till 2026.

“Together, we combine a unique blend of military and civilian expertise to drive rapid innovation for defence, research, and commercial applications. Through innovation and state-of-the-art industrial production, we will continue to create jobs and value for our suppliers, partners, customers and owners,” he added.
