Awarded new contract by Hafslund Celsio

AF Gruppen has been selected as the contractor for the construction of a new technical building and foundations for the carbon capture facility to be built at Hafslund Celsio’s waste incineration plant at Klemetsrud in Oslo. This will be one of the world’s first carbon capture facilities for waste incineration, and the project is part of the Norwegian government’s Longship initiative.

The contract will be a main contract with Hafslund Celsio AS as the client and includes both civil and technical works. Construction will commence during November 2025 with completion in Q4 2028.

The contract has an estimated value of approximately NOK 500 million excluding VAT, plus options.

AF Gruppen (AFG) increased both revenue and profit compared to same period last year and had a revenue in the second quarter amounting to NOK 7,808 million. Profit before tax was NOK 388 million in the second quarter, resulting in a profit margin of 5.0%. Order intake during the quarter was good, and the order backlog stood at a solid NOK 44,493 million at the end of the quarter.
