Havila Voyages Cancels Several Ports
Due to storm warnings with hurricane-force gusts along the Norwegian coast, Havila Voyages must cancel several ports in Trøndelag, Nordland, and Finnmark in the coming days.

New winter storms are brewing along the Norwegian coast, with forecasts for hurricane-force gusts and waves up to 20 meters high, particularly over Folda in Trøndelag. Additionally, northwesterly storms are expected from late Saturday night until Sunday morning along the Finnmark coast. As a result, there will be changes to the sailing schedule for the coastal cruise ships Havila Capella, Havila Polaris, and Havila Castor.
Havila Capella
Havila Capella is heading south along the Coastal Route and will accelerate its voyage toward Bergen to avoid the worst of the weather.
- Departure from Brønnøysund is moved up to 3:00 PM Thursday.
- Departure from Rørvik is moved up to 7:00 PM Thursday.
After Rørvik, the ship will sail directly to Molde, arriving around 12:00 PM Friday. The departure time from Molde will be determined during the day on Friday.
Port calls in Trondheim and Kristiansund are canceled.
Havila Polaris
Havila Polaris is heading north and will cancel its Trondheim port call early tomorrow to cross Folda before the storm intensifies. It is also unlikely that the ship will call at Rørvik, though Rørvik will be passed around 2:00 PM Friday.
Based on current weather forecasts, port calls in Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen, and Nesna are also expected to be canceled.
- The ship will pass Brønnøysund around 7:00 PM Friday, Sandnessjøen around 11:00 PM, and Nesna around 1:00 AM Saturday.
- Planned port call at Ørnes: Arrival at 6:00 AM Saturday and departure at 6:15 AM.
- The ship will arrive in Bodø around 9:30 AM Saturday and will continue northward according to the schedule, departing Bodø at 3:20 PM.
Havila Castor
Havila Castor is also heading north on the Coastal Route. After Øksfjord late Friday night (January 18), the ship will proceed to Alta.
This means that all port calls between Øksfjord and Kirkenes northbound, as well as between Kirkenes and Havøysund southbound, are canceled.
Havila Castor will resume its schedule from Hammerfest on Monday, January 20, heading south.
