Early in the morning of 14 January 2025, a freighter from SF Airlines departed from Ezhou Huahu International Airport in China, bound for Oslo Airport. This marks the official launch of the Ezhou–Oslo freight route. “This is the first time SF Airlines is flying to Norway, and it is also Ezhou’s first freight route to Norway,” says Eva Beate Lande, Director of Cargo at Avinor.

The new route will strengthen air freight connections between the two countries. The cargo will include express packages, e-commerce goods, and export items such as Norwegian salmon destined for the Chinese market.

Oslo Airport plays a central role in Norway’s seafood exports. China is Norway’s largest seafood market in Asia and the fastest-growing globally, emphasizing the importance of stable logistics connections between Norway and China.

Ezhou Huahu International Airport, Asia’s first dedicated cargo hub, has made significant investments in infrastructure for international freight and customs processing, facilitating increased trade between the regions.

“This is a new milestone for Norwegian seafood exports and a testament to the strong cooperation between Norway and China,” says Eva Beate Lande, Director of Cargo at Avinor. “The new route will not only provide faster and more efficient access to the Chinese market but also strengthen Norway’s position as a leading seafood exporter.”

For SF Airlines, this marks the beginning of its international expansion for the year. The company will continue to strengthen its global network and provide safe, efficient, and competitive air logistics.

About SF Airlines:
