Shutdown of Sleipner R – outage of Langeled pipeline to Easington
Gassco has a transportation outage from the Nyhamna processing plant to the Easington receiving terminal due to operational problems at the Sleipner riser platform. Sleipner is the hub for the Langeled North pipeline meeting the Langeled South pipeline.
An operational problem has caused this connection to be shut-down until the corrective maintenance is completed.
The cause of the shut-down is a damage to a 2” piping. The duration of the repair work is updated on our market portal. Any changes to the progress of the repair work and the ramp-up plan will be given here.

2024 ble et rekordår for eksport av norsk gass gjennom transportsystemet fra norsk sokkel til Europa. Volumet utgjør enorme energimengder for Europa og står nå for 30 prosent av Europas naturgassimport. I energimengde tilsvarer dette omtrent ni prosent av Europas totale energiforbruk.
