Shutdown of Sleipner R – outage of Langeled pipeline to Easington

Gassco has a transportation outage from the Nyhamna processing plant to the Easington receiving terminal due to operational problems at the Sleipner riser platform. Sleipner is the hub for the Langeled North pipeline meeting the Langeled South pipeline.
An operational problem has caused this connection to be shut-down until the corrective maintenance is completed.
The cause of the shut-down is a damage to a 2” piping. The duration of the repair work is updated on our market portal. Any changes to the progress of the repair work and the ramp-up plan will be given here.

2025 ble nok et år med høy eksport av norsk naturgass til Europa. Gjennom det integrerte transportsystemet har 114,9 milliarder standard kubikkmeter gass strømmet fra norsk sokkel til europeiske mottakere. Det tilsvarer 1271 TWh energi, nok til å dekke store deler av Europas energibehov.

2025 was yet another year of high exports of Norwegian natural gas to Europe. 114.9 billion standard cubic meters of gas flowed through the integrated transport system, from the Norwegian continental shelf to European recipients. This corresponds to 1271 TWh of energy, enough to cover large parts of Europe’s energy needs.
