Thon Hotel Oslo Airport Becomes Norway's Largest Conference Hotel

State-of-the-Art Conference Facilities

The current congress hall, previously known as Thon Congress Gardermoen, is being expanded from 2,550 to 5,100 square meters. The new hall can accommodate banquets for up to 5,000 people or concerts for 10,000. The hall is designed with flexibility in mind and can be divided into six smaller rooms, allowing for multiple large events to be held simultaneously.

The new congress hall is being built to BREEAM In-Use Excellent standards with energy class A. The building will have solar panels on the roof to reduce energy consumption and will offer state-of-the-art technological solutions, including one of Norway's largest LED walls at 115 square meters.

New Restaurant and Well Designed Break Areas

The new conference area includes a dedicated restaurant section with seating for over 1,000 guests, with the possibility of standing reception for larger events. The break areas are designed to create a cozy and homely atmosphere, with zones that use mood lighting, quality furniture, and textiles to stand out from traditional conference facilities.

Unique Experiences for Guests

The hotel also offers unique experiences, such as a competition kitchen and a restaurant in a converted flight simulator facility, just a hundred meters from the hotel.
