Neufinanzierung der Schiffe von Havila Kystruten
Havila Kystruten hat Term Sheets mit Kreditgebern für die Refinanzierung der Flotte unterzeichnet und Termine für die Aufnahme des Betriebs von Havila Polaris und Havila Pollux auf der Route festgelegt.
Die Finanzierung beläuft sich auf insgesamt 370 Mio. EUR und deckt die Zahlungen an Tersan bei der Ablieferung von Havila Polaris und Havila Pollux sowie die Ablösung bestehender Schulden für alle Schiffe ab.
„Wir sind sehr erleichtert, dass wir die Refinanzierung unserer Schiffe unter Dach und Fach haben. Es war eine schwierige Zeit mit vielen Unsicherheiten für das Unternehmen, die Mitarbeiter und nicht zuletzt für unsere Gäste. Wir sind froh, dass wir eine Lösung gefunden haben“, sagt CEO Bent Martini von Havila Kystruten.
Die Ablösung der Schulden bei GTLK wird durch eine weitere Vereinbarung mit den neuen Kreditgebern in Übereinstimmung mit der Genehmigung der norwegischen Behörden und unter Einhaltung der internationalen Sanktionsvorschriften erfolgen.
Bald in vollem Betrieb
Neue Pläne für die Ablieferung von Havila Polaris und Havila Pollux durch die Tersan-Werft beinhalten, dass Havila Polaris spätestens am 29. Dezember 2022 und Havila Pollux spätestens am 22. März 2023 in Fahrt kommen soll.
„Dass es bei den nächsten beiden Schiffen zu Lieferschwierigkeiten bei kritischen Komponenten und damit zu weiteren Verzögerungen gekommen ist, ist natürlich sehr bedauerlich, vor allem für alle, die bei uns eine Reise gebucht haben und nicht zuletzt für die Küstenbevölkerung“, sagt Martini.
„Es ist auch für uns sehr wichtig, die nächsten beiden Schiffe in Betrieb zu nehmen, deshalb freuen wir uns sehr darauf, bald einen Vollbetrieb mit vier Schiffen entlang der norwegischen Küste zu haben“, so Martini abschließend.
Das Unternehmen wird sich mit den von den Änderungen betroffenen Passagieren in Verbindung setzen und ihnen ähnliche Reisen mit Havila Capella und Havila Castor anbieten, alternativ aber auch Reisen mit den neuesten Schiffen zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt.

The four new ships are loaded with one the world's largest battery pack ever installed on passenger ships and can sail for up to four hours without noise or emissions through vulnerable areas.
