Havila Voyages announce second Roots and Blues Cruise
Imagine sailing through the spectacular UNESCO protected Norwegian fjords while enjoying live performances by world class blues artists!
Following the success of its first ever Roots and Blues Cruise along the Norwegian coast earlier this year, Havila Voyages has announced a new date for 2025.
From 2nd to 13th April, Havila Polaris will be hosting blues and roots artists who will be performing live in several concerts each day.
Among those who will be performing onboard are Muddy Waters Club Allstars Band, Paal Flaata and Johan Blohm. (The full list of signed artists is available here, with more to be added to the line up soon.)
Access to the performances is included in the cruise fare for the Round Voyage (Bergen-Kirkenes-Bergen) and Voyage North (Bergen to Kirkenes) departing on 2 April 2025 as well as the Voyage South (Kirkenes to Bergen) departing on 8 April 2025.
As well as enjoying multiple music performances daily, guests will have plenty of opportunities to explore the spectacular Norwegian coastal region on a range of excursions such as dog sledding, cycling tours, Arctic coastal walks and a visit to the North Cape, the most northerly point of the European continent.
One of the highlights of the voyage will undoubtedly be sailing into Geirangerfjord on battery power, silently and emission free, on one of Havila Voyages’ first ever Spring sailings into this unique UNESCO heritage site.
The voyage currently costs from £747 per person for the Voyage South from Kirkenes to Bergen departing 8 April 2025 on full board basis. Flights are not included
Prices are correct at time of issue and subject to availability.

About Havila Voyages
Havila Voyages is a Norwegian shipping company that sails the classic coastal voyage between Bergen and Kirkenes with the Norwegian coast's most environmentally friendly ships.
The four new ships are loaded with one the world's largest battery pack ever installed on passenger ships and can sail for up to four hours without noise or emissions through vulnerable areas. The batteries are charged with clean hydropower at shore, and when the batteries are low we switch to natural gas which cuts CO2 by around 35 %.
The hull is specially designed for maximum energy efficiency, and excess heat from cooling water and sea used for heating on board. On the menu are locally made dishes from local producers, and all unnecessary plastic is avoided. We are already exceeding the authorities' requirements for cutting emission, and we have set sail with zero emissions as the future target.
Havila Voyages is part of the Havila Group that dates back to the 1950s. It all started when the founder, Per Sævik, bought his first fishing boat in his teens. From fishing and herring fishing, Havila is now a group operating in shipping technology, offshore, transport and tourism.
