If you are arriving at Oslo Airport on an international flight with either SAS, Widerøe, or Atlantic Airways and are continuing onwards on a domestic flight in Norway with DAT (Danish Air Transport), you no longer need to collect your luggage and recheck it.

If you have a ticket issued for the entire journey with one of these airlines, you will therefore also skip another round of security screening when arriving in Oslo and proceed directly to your next gate.

Dorothy Billett, SVP at Oslo Airport, is pleased on behalf of the passengers who will face a simplified process upon arrival at Oslo Airport.

"We already know that the Domestic Transfer solution offered at Oslo Airport is greatly appreciated by both airlines and, not least, the passengers who are continuing onwards to domestic flights. Therefore, we are glad that even more travellers will benefit going forward, as DAT now are among the companies offering this service to their customers."

Recently, DAT became part of the Domestic Transfer arrangement at Oslo Airport, which ensures automatic, remote customs clearance and seamless baggage transfer. As a passenger, this simplifies the process of transferring from one of the mentioned airlines to DAT, provided your luggage is tagged to your final destination. All you need to do is follow the signs for Domestic Transfer upon arrival at Oslo Airport.

“We are extremely pleased with this significant simplification for our passengers, making their journey smoother,” says Robert Runghold, Commercial Director at DAT.

“We have long had interline agreements with these airlines, but now our passengers may fully enjoy the benefits of this agreement,” he concludes.
