Autoparts United Nordic acquires the operations of NDS Group

On September 15th, Autoparts United Nordic entered into an agreement with the bankruptcy estate of NDS Group AS and the main creditor to take over and continue the operations of NDS Group. Autoparts United Nordic will, as part of the agreement, also take over Automester AS, which is one of the leading concept chains in Norway with outlets all across Norway.

The goal of Autoparts United Nordic is to retain as many outlets as possible, as well as to continue to enhance good relationships with customers and suppliers. Autoparts United Nordic is now in the process of getting a complete overview of the business to further develop it.

Autoparts United Nordic, which was founded by a group of international investors, is an active investor in the automotive aftermarket industry with close relationships with leading players in the industry such as Nexus Automotive International. It comprises a strong team of industrial experts to support and develop the operations of NDS Group.

Management of NDS and Automester are looking forward to a reliable and sustainable business development.

Markus Hakala, chairman of Autoparts United Nordic, comments: "NDS and Automester have many of the best people in the industry on their roster. Our goal is to turn around the business, and for Autoparts United Nordic to become a leader within the Norwegian automotive aftermarket business. We will do our utmost to build-up a reliable and solid business cooperation with our suppliers and customers following the recent operational turbulence; and honor the values and vision of NDS Group of helping customers to become the best in their industry.

Since bankruptcy was opened on Friday 8th September 2023, employees have showed up at work and the head office staff have made great efforts to assist us as best they can. We are proud of the efforts of the NDS team, especially given the challenging circumstances.

Our team and advisors, together with the professionals working for the bankruptcy estate and the bank, have worked hard to get all the formalities in place and ensure the best possible foundation for continued operations and a quick turn-around. Together with NDS management and team, we will undertake all the necessary actions and work tirelessly to make our customers happy. We will implement our ambitious strategic plan and all necessary changes as quickly as possible to ensure the future success of NDS Group and their customers.”
