Salget av 30% av fibervirksomheten i Norge gjennomført

(Fornebu, 1 februar 2023) Transaksjonen om å selge 30 prosent av det nyetablerte norske selskapet Telenor Fiber AS ble gjennomført i dag. Salget gjøres til et konsortium ledet av investeringsselskapet KKR, som investerer gjennom sin kjerneinfrastrukturstrategi, med  Oslo Pensjonsforsikring som medinvestor.

Transaksjonen priser Telenors fiberselskap til 36,1 milliarder kroner og tilfører Telenor rundt 10,8 milliarder kroner. Selskapet leverte et EBITDA-resultat på 1,7 milliarder kroner i 2021.

Salget av 30 prosent tilfører 10,8 milliarder kroner til Telenor. Som tidligere kommunisert har Telenor til hensikt å bruke deler av vederlaget til tilbakekjøp av aksjer.

Transaksjonen er i tråd med Telenors strategi om å sikre et fortsatt høyt tempo i fiberutbyggingen i Norge. Samtidig synliggjør den verdien av Telenors infrastrukturvirksomhet. Telenors mål er å ta en betydelig andel av det gjenværende fibermarkedet i Norge og vil fortsette å styrke fiberdekningen med å gi forbrukerne økt tilgang til høyhastighets fast-, mobil- og TV-tilbud.

KKR har betydelig kompetanse innen digital infrastruktur og deler Telenors langsiktige perspektiv på det nordiske telekommarkedet.
