DFDS: November mængderapport: Fragt steg 17% drevet af lager-opbygning forud for Brexit

DFDS rapporterer månedlige færgemængder for fragt og passagerer med henblik på at give yderligere indsigt i trends for mængdeudviklingen i DFDS’ europæiske rutenetværk.

Færge – fragt: De samlede mængder i november var 18% højere end i 2019 justeret for lukningen af Paldiski-Hanko-ruten. Mængdevæksten på ruter, der anløber Storbritannien, var 25%.
På Nordsøen blev mængderne øget af lageropbygning i Storbritannien forud for Brexit, særligt på ruterne mellem Holland og Storbritannien. Mængderne på Den Engelske Kanal blev ligeledes øget af lageropbygningen. Mængderne på Østersøen var højere end i 2019 justeret for lukningen af Paldiski-Hanko-ruten. Mængderne i Middelhavet steg drevet af ruten mellem det sydlige Tyrkiet og Italien.
Færge – passager: Det samlede antal passagerer i november var 80% lavere end i 2019. Nedgangen afspejler en fortsat negativ effekt fra rejserestriktioner relateret til Covid-19. Antallet af passagerer i Østersøen var væsentligt mindre påvirket.
