Start your trip with street food from around the world

"The Food Truck Festival is a concept inspired by global and Norwegian food trends. The festival is designed to inject an urban, vibrant atmosphere inspired by the streets of Oslo into the airport and we are hoping that it will deliver a great experience for travellers", says Per Rune Lunderby, Commercial Manager at Avinor Oslo Airport.

Five trucks
The festival is based around five trucks serving a variety of food and located in the area just after passport control. The concept represents a conscious effort by Avinor to provide a better service to the travellers that it serves in Oslo.

"We are delighted that we have finally been able to open this area and with it offer a much improved range of food and drink choices beyond passport control. Anyone travelling to countries outside the Schengen Area can look forward to some real culinary treats", says Lunderby.

Varied cuisine at a range of prices
The five food trucks serve everything from Neapolitan pizza and soft rolls with egg and bacon to mini burgers and authentic Mexican food, in addition to plenty of nice things to drink. The man behind the new concept is convinced that the offering will be well received among travellers:

"We are pleased that we can offer international street food with menus that vary both in size and in price, featuring food that can be served directly from the truck. You can either eat in the large restaurant area on the second floor or take your food with you to the gate or onto the aircraft. The food is served in a way that makes it easy to take with you on board", explains Managing Director of HMSHost-Umoe F&B Company, Per Christensen.

The five food trucks will be serving the following:

Pizza Wheel – Neapolitan pizza
Number Juan – Mexican street food
Joyride – Smoothies, salads, sandwiches and fruit 
Egghead and Roasted – Rolls filled with egg, bacon, pulled pork and other meats
Tailgate – A variety of light bites and drinks
