EcoOnline launches eLearning tool to reduce workplace risks and accidents
Today EcoOnline proudly announces the launch of Learning Manager, an eLearning platform that facilitates the management, delivery, and measurement of an organization’s corporate EHS and chemical safety training. This is an important step towards EcoOnline’s goal of helping customers create safe and sustainable workplaces.
EcoOnline believes that the launch of their Learning Manager is a perfect fit with market trends. The Covid situation has increased the need for digital solutions, and e-Learning is considered one of the fastest-growing industries. Since the year 2000, the market growth rate has been 900 per cent.
“The introduction of Learning Manager is an important offering expansion and is expected to be a meaningful contributor to achieving EcoOnline’s target of NOK 1bn ARR in 2025. We already see clear demand from our customers for digital solutions that easily can transform their traditional classroom education into structured and engaging EHS training programs. As these trends will come gradually, the impact on our ARR in 2021 is expected to be limited,” says Göran Lindö, EcoOnline CEO.
EcoOnline will stand out from other EHS software providers by offering a leading Learning Management System (LMS) combined with an extensive library of educational EHS courses. Assigning courses that naturally relate to the employee’s day-to-day tasks, like chemical or safety management, is proven to have beneficial effects on both engagement and retention rate.
In Learning Manager, it is also easy for the customer to add any existing learning material, supporting both eLearning and instructor-led training. Built-in analytics and data reporting create a unique opportunity to gain visibility into training effectiveness and identify learning gaps - preparing businesses for future demand or changes to compliance, market disruptions, or new business objectives.
“Our goal at EcoOnline is to make it easier to build a strong safety culture that ultimately leads to fewer accidents and incidents. We strongly believe knowledge is essential to create sustainable, safe, and healthy working environments. By offering our customers high quality and engaging educational content combined with a user-friendly eLearning tool, our EHS software can drive real behavioral change,” says Axel Elvik, EcoOnline’s VP Products.
Investing in online training software has proven to give a high return on investment, benefitting from lower costs related to course development, instructor fees, classroom costs, and training-related travel expenses.
Adopting eLearning is not only good for the business, it’s also good for the planet. Research discover that by providing distance learning, the environmental impact is essential as it consumes an average of 90 per cent less energy and produces 85 per cent fewer CO2 emissions per student than traditional face-to-face courses.
